What is the difference between a webinar and a web event?

A Webinar is a live, single topic web-based seminar, typically lasting less than 100 minutes and consisting of a moderator and one or more speakers presenting a single topic to an audience in a one-way communication format.

A Web event is a live, multi-topic web-based event, often lasting several hours and consisting of multiple attendees and sponsors interacting via both one-way and two-way communication formats such as chat, Voice-Over-IP, video phone, and social networking.

How is my privacy protected on 2xhib?

If you register on 2xhib you can choose to check the box ‘I want to receive updates from vendors I visit’. If you choose not to check that box, 2xhib will not share your contact information with any vendor or third party for commercial reasons, however, your activity will appear under the name “Anonymous” in their office reports. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

Who are the people behind 2xhib?

2xhib.com is a service provided by Platforms For Collaboration LLC, based in Boston, MA. The people behind PFC are a dedicated team of engineers and entrepreneurs with many years of software development and sales experience.

Directories

Can I create multiple directories with one email address?

Yes. A directory owner is identified by email address and password. You can create multiple directories, and manage the content of each of these by clicking on Set up (in the top right) after logging in.

How is the URL of my directory defined?

The URL of the directory that you create is defined by taking the first 10 letters or numbers of your ‘directory name’ plus adding .2xhib.com behind it.

How do I add virtual offices to my directory?

Anyone who registers as a visitor can access your directory. Once in your directory a ‘Visitor’ can upgrade to ‘Vendor’ by creating an office: Select Create an office in the menu bar, then register the new office. The directory owner will need to approve the newly created office by changing its status into ‘active’, before it shows up in the directory. How do I change status of (or ‘activate’) a virtual office in my directory?

Sign-in, select Set up (in the top right), and select your directory. Select Directory Management in the menu bar. Then click on the ‘Offices’ bar under the Assets, and choose ‘Edit’ at the office you want to activate. Then select ‘Edit Office info’ on the menu on the left, and change the ‘Status’ field into ‘Active’. Then click on ‘Save information’ at the bottom.

How do I make money with my directory on 2xhib?

For every lead report that is purchased from a virtual office (by that virtual office owner) in your directory, you earn a percentage of the revenue. After a lead report is purchased from a virtual office in your directory, you get a message confirming the purchase.

How do I know for sure how many lead reports are being purchased from my directory?

2xhib reports periodically about the number of lead reports that are purchased from your directory. Once a year our accountant audits and confirms these numbers, which PFC will share with you upon request.

Can anyone add a virtual office in my directory?

Yes, by default directories are “public”. However as a directory owner you need to ‘activate’ each new office in your directory. See ‘How do I change status of (or ‘activate’) a virtual office in my directory?’. If you want to control which companies can add virtual offices to your directory please contact us to set up a “private” directory.

Can anyone access my directory?

Yes, anyone who registers (both visitors as well as vendors and competitors) can access your directory.

Can I control who accesses my directory?

Yes, if you want to control who can access your directory please contact us to set up a “private” directory.

Can I change the content of any virtual office created in my directory?

No, you cannot, unless you are also a ‘maintainer’ of the office. See ‘How do I become a ‘maintainer’ of a virtual office?’. By default anyone who creates a virtual office in a directory is the owner of that office and can make changes to the content of that office.

Can I download lead reports of any virtual office in my directory?

No, you cannot, unless you are also a ‘maintainer’ of the office. See ‘How do I become a ‘maintainer’ of a virtual office?’. Only the owner of a virtual office has the possibility to purchase/download a lead report of that virtual office.

Can I change the branding of my directory?

Yes, if you want to change the branding (e.g. adding a banner on top of your directory home page, and/or changing colors of the section bars) please contact us.

Can I integrate my existing (third party) directory into my 2xhib directory?

Office Management

Can I create multiple virtual offices with one email address?

Yes. A virtual office owner is identified by email address and password. You can create multiple virtual offices, and manage the content of each of these by clicking on Set up (in the top right) after logging in.

How do I become a ‘maintainer’ of a virtual office?

By default anyone who creates a virtual office in a directory is the owner of that office and can make changes to the content of that office. The owner of the office can also add a ‘maintainer’ to allow others to make changes to the content as well: Sign-in, select Set up (in the top right), and select your office. Select Office Management in the menu bar. Then select ‘Access control’ in the menu on the left. Then choose ‘Add maintainer’. A valid email address is required, as well as a registered member of 2xhib.com. If you want to add a person as a maintainer who is not registered yet, that person needs to sign up as a visitor first, and accept the terms of use. If needed you can add multiple maintainers.

How do I upload content to my virtual office?

Sign-in, select Set up (in the top right), and select your virtual office in the directory where you created it. From the ‘Office Management’ page, you can add or delete content, images, videos, documents, and contacts by clicking on the bar on top of each of these sections.

How long does it take to upload a video?

Uploading a video file can take several minutes (e.g., about 5 minutes for a 30Mb file, and longer for bigger files), depending on the file size, your bandwidth, usage, etc. The upload of a video is a 2-step process. The first part is the actual upload – you cannot do anything else during that process or the upload will fail. Once that first upload step is completed, you get a message, and you are allowed to do other things again. 2xhib will complete the second part of the upload process (video processing) in the background, which takes usually a minute or two after which you can view the uploaded video in your virtual office.

Can I upload any type of image into the image section?

No, you cannot. Only jpg’s are currently allowed. The size of the image is also important, small images will not show up.
